Publication Ethics
The Journal of Intelligent Systems and Applied Sciences (JISAS) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and research integrity. The journal follows the principles and guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and expects all parties involved in the publication process to adhere to these standards.
1. Responsibilities of Authors
Authors submitting manuscripts to JISAS are expected to:

Properly cite and acknowledge the work of others

Accurately present research data and results without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate manipulation

Disclose any conflicts of interest that may influence the research or its interpretation

Ensure that all listed authors meet accepted authorship criteria and approve the final manuscript
Authors must also ensure that any research involving human participants, personal data, or sensitive information complies with applicable ethical and legal requirements.
2. Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers are expected to:

Conduct reviews objectively, fairly, and confidentially

Declare any potential conflicts of interest and decline review where impartiality may be compromised

Provide constructive and timely feedback to support editorial decision-making

Refrain from using information obtained during peer review for personal advantage
3. Responsibilities of Editors
Editors are responsible for:

Making publication decisions based solely on academic merit, originality, and relevance

Ensuring a fair and unbiased peer review process

Managing conflicts of interest among authors, reviewers, and editors

Taking appropriate action in cases of suspected misconduct, in line with COPE guidelines
4. Plagiarism and Misconduct
All submissions to JISAS are screened for plagiarism prior to peer review.
Suspected cases of plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, falsification, or other forms of research misconduct will be investigated thoroughly. Proven misconduct may result in rejection, correction, retraction, or notification of relevant institutions.
5. Corrections and Retractions
JISAS maintains the integrity of the scholarly record through transparent correction and retraction procedures. Errors or ethical concerns identified after publication will be handled in accordance with the journal’s Corrections & Retractions Policy and COPE recommendations.
6. Ethical Oversight
The journal is committed to transparency, fairness, and accountability throughout the publication process and reserves the right to take appropriate editorial action to uphold ethical standards.
