Submission Preparation Checklist
Before submitting a manuscript to JISAS, authors must confirm that their submission meets all of the following requirements.
Scope and Originality
☐ The manuscript fits the scope of Journal of Intelligent Systems and Applied Sciences (JISAS) and makes a clear contribution to intelligent systems, artificial intelligence, or applied computational sciences.
☐ The work is original, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration by another journal or conference.
☐ The manuscript goes beyond routine application of existing methods and demonstrates methodological, system-level, or evaluative contribution.
Manuscript Structure and Content
☐ The manuscript includes all required sections, where appropriate: Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Related Work, Methodology or System Design, Experimental Setup and Evaluation, Results and Analysis, Conclusion, and References.
☐ The abstract is between 150–250 words and clearly states the problem, methods, and main findings.
☐ 3–7 keywords are provided and accurately reflect the content of the manuscript.
☐ The methodological contribution and evaluation protocol are clearly described.
☐ Limitations and potential weaknesses of the study are explicitly discussed.
Methodological Rigor and Evaluation
☐ Appropriate baseline methods or comparison models are included.
☐ Evaluation metrics are clearly defined and justified.
☐ Experimental results are reproducible in principle, with sufficient methodological detail provided.
☐ For applied or interdisciplinary studies, the manuscript clearly explains how computational methods are adapted, validated, or extended beyond standard practice.
Data, Code, and Reproducibility
☐ Datasets used in the study are clearly described, including source, size, and preprocessing steps.
☐ Code, data, or trained models are made available via public repositories (e.g., GitHub, Zenodo), where ethically and legally feasible, or a clear justification is provided if sharing is not possible.
☐ A Data and Code Availability Statement is included in the manuscript.
Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools
☐ Any use of artificial intelligence tools (including large language models) is transparently disclosed in the manuscript.
☐ AI tools were not listed as authors and were not used to generate scientific content without appropriate human oversight.
☐ The authors take full responsibility for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the work.
Ethical Standards and Integrity
☐ All authors have significantly contributed to the work and approve the submitted version.
☐ Any potential conflicts of interest have been disclosed.
☐ The manuscript complies with ethical standards applicable to the research, including data collection and experimentation.
☐ The manuscript has been checked for plagiarism and improper citation.
Formatting and References
☐ The manuscript is submitted in Microsoft Word format.
☐ Figures and tables are clearly labeled, cited in the text, and provided in acceptable resolution.
☐ References are formatted consistently using the IEEE reference style.
☐ All references cited in the text appear in the reference list, and vice versa.
Final Confirmation
☐ The corresponding author confirms that all submission requirements have been met and understands that manuscripts failing to comply with these guidelines may be returned without review.
