Archiving Policy
The International Journal of Sport and Health Sciences (IJSHS) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of its published content. The journal adopts recognized digital archiving practices to safeguard scholarly records and to ensure continued access to articles in the event of technological or organizational changes.
Digital Preservation
IJSHS utilizes the archiving and preservation services provided by PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), which enables secure and distributed preservation of journal content. Through PKP PN, published articles are preserved across multiple geographically distributed locations, ensuring redundancy and long-term availability.
LOCKSS/CLOCKSS Compliance
The journal supports the principles of the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system, allowing participating libraries and archiving services to collect, preserve, and provide access to journal content when it is no longer available from the publisher’s website.
Self-Archiving
Authors are permitted and encouraged to archive all versions of their manuscripts, including preprints, accepted manuscripts, and published versions, in institutional repositories, subject repositories, or personal websites. Such self-archiving should acknowledge the original publication in IJSHS and comply with the terms of the applicable Creative Commons license.
Permanent Accessibility
All published articles are assigned persistent identifiers (such as Digital Object Identifiers, DOIs) to ensure reliable and permanent access. The journal takes reasonable measures to maintain the integrity and usability of its digital archive over time.
Policy Updates
IJSHS reserves the right to update its archiving policy in accordance with developments in digital preservation standards and best practices in scholarly publishing.
